Season 39 Jeopardy! contestants - where they're from

The main table includes all players who made their first appearance on Jeopardy! in 2022-23. Thus, they exclude:

• Luigi de Guzman, the winner of the last game of Season 38
• The eighteeen competitors in the Second Chance Competition, all of whom appeared first in Season 37 or 38 (separate table at bottom)
• The twenty-one competitors in the Tournament of Champions, all of whom appeared first in Season 37 or 38 (separate table at bottom)
• The twenty-seven competitors in the High School Reunion Tournament, all of whom appeared first in one of the two Teen Tournaments in Season 35 (separate table at bottom)

Jeopardy! is continuing the practice, revived two seasons ago, of allowing contestants to be introduced as "originally from" a location other than their current residence, which had been ended in 2016; however, it is being used much more sparingly than in Season 37. Those introductions are not separated out in these statistics.
