Season 36 Jeopardy! contestants - where they're from

The main table includes all players who made their first appearance on Jeopardy! in 2019-20. Thus, they don't take into account:

• Jason Zuffranieri (first appeared 2019-07-19; defending champion to open Season 36)
• The 2019 Tournament of Champions field (those fifteen players all first appeared in Season 34 or 35)
• The three players in Jeopardy!: The Greatest of All Time (all three first appeared prior to Season 36 — additionally, the "GOAT" event is technically a separate program from the syndicated version of Jeopardy!, even though its eight games were re-run on the usual Jeopardy! stations in May 2020)

The contestants in the 2020 College Championship are credited in the main table according to their given hometowns, not the location of their schools; a separate table at the bottom lists the school locations.
